Our final Illinois-based distribution in 2011 was to the Two Rivers Head Start program in Aurora, Illinois. Head Start is a national program, which helps prepare income-qualified children for school and works with parents to help them build better lives for their children.

Jul-15-2011

For our second distribution in 2011, the Humanitarian Service Project, based in Carol Stream, Illinois, was the lucky recipient of 250 teddy bears and books.  Their expanding facility supports a variety of senior citizens and children programs. Our donation will be used specifically for the Children’s Birthday Project, which provides gifts to over 700 poverty-level children.

Jun-24-2011

Our first 2011 distribution was to the Urban Youth Ministry, a division of Wayside Cross Ministries in Aurora, Illinois. The Urban Youth Ministry is dedicated to supporting and guiding "at-risk" inner city youth, between the ages of 6 and 10. We donated 250 teddy bears and books to be given to school –aged children throughout the school year.

Dec-17-2010

The 2nd annual Bears Who Care donation in 2010 was to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. 70 teddy bears and books were included with special holiday gift packages being prepared for the children.
